The CEC/Seabee Historical Foundation sponsors a Historical Perspectives Program for the purpose of preserving our heritage and communicating the many significant achievements of the CEC and the Seabees to future generations. Each seminar has been prepared through extensive research by an officer who has personal knowledge of the events involved. The seminars are available to all active duty and retired communities of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, CEC officers, and Seabees. Each seminar is approximately one hour in length including time for discussion after the presentation.
Typically these seminars have been most successful when presented in conjunction with an evening cocktail hour and dinner. They have served as an important mechanism for bringing members of the community together in a social setting. They can also be presented at luncheon meetings. There are no costs to the organizations sponsoring a seminar other than the local costs of planning and arranging the meeting and the costs of the dinner or lunch. Some lead time is required to arrange for an appropriate speaker so the earliest possible request would be appreciated. All requests for the presentation of a seminar should be made to the Foundation headquarters.
